Forthcoming this fall is Charles Daniel Malone, A Life. This is a richly-detailed account of the life of Malone (1845-1927), a Warren County native, who was reared in Louisburg and spent his latter career in Beaufort County as an Episcopal clergyman. A Confederate cavalryman, serving under Gen. J. E. B. Stuart in Virginia, he was also a teacher and worked in the Bull Durham tobacco factory in Durham during the 1880s. It has many illustrations and an extensive index.
